05 Feb Romantic Valentine’s Day in Ka’anapali
For a romance end to Valentine’s Day, couples can share champagne and chocolate covered strawberries during the “adults only” Tour of the Stars at 10 pm at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. Taking place on the resort’s rooftop, the Tour of the Stars is a special opportunity to learn about the night’s ski while overlooking the Pacific Ocean and island of Lanai with thousands of stars visible to the naked eye overhead. Director of Astronomy Eddie Mahoney leads the Romance Tour of the Stars and identifies 1,000 objects in the sky including stars, planet, galaxies and nebulae. Couples will first learn to interpret the sky with the unaided eye just as the ancient voyaging Polynesians did 1,000 ago, then with giant astronomy binoculars, and ultimately with ‘The Edge.” The Romance Tour of the Stars is $40 per adult/Hyatt Guest and $45 per adult/non-Hyatt Guest.
