Celebrate Summer with Pāʻina at Keka‘a at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa

Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa is bringing a festive summertime celebration to Ka‘anapali with Pāʻina at Keka‘a, a Maui-style take on the classic clambake. The seasonal offering will kick-off on Fourth of July, with additional nights on Sundays in July to include July 9July 16,July 23 and July 30.

The resort is partnering with Lahaina-based Kohola Brewery on the new dinner experience, which will take place at the resort’s signature restaurant Black Rock Kitchen from 5:30 – 9 p.m., with live entertainment from local duo Brian & Meryl. Created by the resort’s Executive Chef Lyndon Honda, the Pāʻina at Keka‘a menu will highlight a blend of coastal favorites, including clams, shrimp, mussels, crawfish, corn on the cob, potatoes and Portuguese sausage simmered in a Kohola Brewery beer broth, featuring the brewery’s Kai Ala Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale, with grainy-sweet flavors and spicy, citrusy notes. Not a seafood lover? Grilled selections like chicken, barbecue ribs and steak are also included.

“Clambakes are a summertime culinary tradition, and we are excited to bring this fun, seasonal offering to guests, visitors and locals,” said Mireille Tardif, hotel manager for Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. “Pāʻina at Keka‘a is about celebrating summer with friends and family while enjoying live music, fresh seafood, barbecue favorites and craft beers.”

The kick-off event on Fourth of July will be a larger celebration; with keiki activities from 3 – 5:30 p.m., including lawn games, face painting, crafts, an inflatable jumping castle, and the resort’s annual Lucky Duck Race, with the proceeds from the race benefitting StarWish, a fundraising program that provides scholarships for Maui youth. From 5:30 – 9 p.m. Kohola Brewery will take over the taps at Black Rock Kitchen for the Pāʻina at Keka‘a clambake, with live entertainment from Brian & Meryl.

On the remaining dates in July, Pāʻina at Keka‘a will be on offer during Black Rock Kitchen’s normal dinner hours from 5:30 – 9 p.m., and guests will enjoy live entertainment from local duo Brian & Meryl as well as tap takeovers from Kohola Brewery.
