View Historic Total Lunar Eclipse at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa

For the first time in 152 years, there will be a Blue Moon and a Blood Moon at the same time! In the early morning hours of January 31, Hawaii will be one of the few places in the world to witness the Total Lunar Eclipse that will feature a Blue Moon, Blood Moon and Supermoon.

A Blue Moon is a term used when there are two Full Moons in a calendar month.  A Blood Moon is when the Moon turns dark red during a Total Lunar Eclipse. A Supermoon is when the moon appears slight bigger than usual.

To celebrate, the resort’s acclaimed Tour of the Stars rooftop stargazing program will be free and all through the night.
