Surfboards Across America Tour Concludes at Oregon

The Surfboards Across America program made its final stop of the winter season over the weekend, visiting Eugene, Ore., to present Oregon with its custom 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational surfboard on Sunday night.

A sellout crowd of 12,364 was in attendance to not only see the No. 13 Ducks earn a win on Senior Night, but also the presentation of Oregon’s custom surfboard. During a first-half timeout, The Oregon Duck hopped onto the surfboard and was carried around the court by members of the Oregon spirit squad.

Behind a career-high 26 points from senior Elgin Cook, the Ducks improved to 23-6 on the year with an 86-73 win over Washington. Oregon now needs just one more win in its next two games to secure a Pac-12 Championship. Sophomore Dillon Brooks added 19 points, while classmates Casey Benson and Jordan Bell each finished with 12 points.

Since 1999, the teams have combined for 14 trips to the Final Four and have won six national championships. In all, the field has combined to win 14 national titles, make 39 trips to the Final Four and earn 194 NCAA Tournament berths.
