Join us for the First Grown on Maui Farmers Happenings

Grown on Maui Farmers HappeningsMaui farms produce fragrant coffee, native taro, fresh vegetables, colorful flowers, exotic fruits, sweet Maui Kula® onions, landscape greens, sugar cane, pineapples, seed crops, grass-fed beef, even seafood. In an effort to demonstrate its support of Maui agriculture, Kaanapali Beach Resort will host a quarterly Grown on Maui Farmers Happenings at Whalers Village. The first one will be on Saturday, June 1, 2013.

Hula Grill will be selling Sweet Potato Fries with local herbs. Chef James Simplicano will be preparing food featuring locally grown produce. Greg Stille and Jeff Ferguson from the Maui Coffee Association will be brewing fresh coffee and sharing about education and marketing of local coffee. Ono Organic Farm will have fresh fruits, jams and jellies and Hana Herbs & Flowers will have fresh flowers and pohole.

This event is presented in partnership with Whalers Village and the Maui County Farm Bureau, a grassroots 501c (5) organization of farms and ranch families, agricultural industries, and associated organizations dedicated to supporting agriculture on Maui. Everyone is invited to enjoy this free event from 7:30am–11:30am.
