2017 Makahiki Closing Ceremony & Kaʻililāʻau Relaunching

Hawaii’s Most Hawaiian Hotel – Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel celebrated the end of Makahiki Season at Hawaii’s Most Hawaiian Hotel on March 31, 2017. It was the end of the great harvest season where they offered gratitude and Mahalo.

Kaʻililāʻau, their staff-built canoe back in 2009, was refurbished by our employee over 4 months and reintroduced to the water by their extended ‘ohana (family).

Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel is proud to perpetrate the Hawaiian traditions through this makahiki season.
