2014 Royal Lahaina Challenger Main Draw Announced!

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) Hawaii Pacific Section announces the main draw player list for the 2014 Royal Lahaina Challenger presented by American Savings Bank and hosted by the Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch and Royal Lahaina Resort, January 19 – 26, 2014. The Challenger, a USTA Pro Circuit event, is Hawaii’s premiere and only professional tennis event in Hawaii and players are set to compete in the $50,000 total prize money.

“This year’s impressive entry list includes such players as Jack Sock, Ryan Harrison (2011 Honolulu Challenger winner), Donald Young, and Mischa Zverev (2013 Finalist of the Maui Challenger).  This is one of the most robust player lists we have had and this year’s international talent includes players from Russia, Great Britain, Australia, the United States, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Ireland and Germany,” said Ron Romano, executive director of the USTA Hawaii Pacific Section.

The USTA launched its Pro Circuit 34 years ago to provide players with the opportunity to gain the professional ranking points needed to compete on the major pro tours.  The Royal Lahaina Challenger will host:

  • 32 Qualifying Men’s Singles Draw
  • 32 Main Men’s Singles Draw
  • 16 Men’s Doubles Draw
  • $50,000 total prize money
  • Community Tennis Activities including a Youth Tennis Fest, Adult Tennis Clinic, Teen Clinic, Ice Cream Nite, Flag Nite, USTA Adult League Appreciation Nite, Invitational School Day, Family Appreciation Nite, Big Brothers/Big Sisters On-Court Tennis Clinic, USTA Member Appreciation and a National Anthem Competition
