Water Fun at The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas

Westin KOR Pools

With health and wellness being top-of-mind for many travelers, The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas offers a balanced and revitalizing experience at every touch point of their stay.

Each day begins on an exhilarating note – whether it is morning yoga on the ocean lawn, sunbathing by the six outdoor pools, snorkeling or paddle boarding. Within the sprawling surroundings of the 26-acre four diamond resort are six free-form outdoor pools including one for adult serenity.

At the north side of the resort, the two-tiered pools create a lazy river theme with thatched umbrellas providing ample shade for poolside lounging. Splashing activities such as water basketball and volleyball are offered daily. Four heated whirlpools are also available in addition to the largest pool with a fun slide and shimmering blue tile finish.

Westin KOR PIrate Ship

Children go wild at the pirate ship pool with fun slides that is ideally situated within the children’s play area. It is perfect for family time with kids club activities and poolside barbeque grills. A second children’s pool is located on the south and overlooks the pristine beach with frolicking whales seen in the warm Pacific during winter season. Here, you will also find Fishpipe, the longest water slide in West Maui. The rotating barrel ride offers splashing fun with a 90-second ride that feels like a mile.

To locals and many visitors, the resort area is affectionately known as Airport Beach with excellent snorkeling where a coral reef starts just a few feet into the water. The active reef system offers a wide variety of fish and often, a giant sea turtle (Honu) or two! Farther south  of the resort, the reef disappears and the slope of the beach lessens, providing swimmers with a more inviting area to frolic in the water.

For those desiring more underwater fun, the resort offers on-site scuba diving and Snuba lessons, certification and beach dives.  In addition, stand up paddle board, kayak and surf lessons are provided by the Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy. Hoe Wa’a outrigger canoe rides are also available.

The adventures that accompany these activities are unforgettable!
