The Maui News “Best of Maui” Awards was established in 1992 and is relied upon as a guide to Maui County’s top dining destinations, commercial activities, cultural programs, shopping, lodging and discounts. Visitors and residents participated in the 50-category survey by casting ballots on paper and electronically to vote for their favorite restaurants, entertainment, activities and more.
Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel’s Sunday Champagne Brunch is a longstanding Maui favorite, beloved by visitors and residents, and has been the recipient of many prestigious awards throughout the years. The legendary brunch takes place at the Tiki Terrace restaurant, where guests can enjoy a wide array of brunch items, including breads and pastries, tropical fruit, waffles, crab legs, sushi and Hawaiian specialties, such as poke, poi and kalua pig. The brunch also offers omelet and carving stations along
with a decadent dessert table spread with a variety of confections. With availability for open-air or indoor seating, the Sunday Champagne Brunch is served from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and also features live Hawaiian entertainment. The cost of the brunch is $44.95 for adults, $25 for children six to 12 years old and children under five years old eat free with a paying adult.
Serving as the Executive Chef for the Tiki Terrace restaurant for almost 20 years, Muromoto is known for his ability to create a style of Hawaii Regional Cuisine that is truly his own. Guests, food lovers and locals enjoy his ability to utilize influences from Hawaiian culture and the distinctive Native Hawaiian diet to create colorful and flavorful dishes that stand out from the competition.
