Japengo’s November Maui Tastemakers Series with Kona Brewing Co.

Every Friday in November, Japengo at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is partnering with Kona Brewing Co. to present three expertly prepared dishes with local ingredients paired with beers from the Big Island.

November Japengo and Kona Brewing Co. Menu – $55 pre-fix menu

  • Lotus Root Chips with Spicy Taro – spicy tuna with rice crackers, wasabi tobiko, and truffle eel sauce; spicy salmon with ikura and yuzu miso vinaigrette; and spicy Hamachi with mentaiko sauce. Served with a Lemongrass Luau.

  • Land and Sea Entrée – Beer Braised Short Rib with roasted garlic mashed potato, and macadamia nuts; Beer Batter Tempura Kauai Shrimp & Hamakua Mushrooms with beer yuzu butter sauce, unagi drizzle and furikake rice cake. Served with Kokol Brown Nut Brown Ale.

 

  • Okinawan Sweet Potato Cheesecake with lilikoi butter. Served with Magic Sands Mango Saison.

Japengo is open nightly featuring dinner and sushi bar service from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., lounge service from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and happy hour from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Guests may book online or call 808-667-4727 to make a reservation.
