Japengo’s Maui Tastemakers Series

This Friday, and each following Friday in May, Japengo will partner with Ocean Organic Vodka for its Maui Tastemakers Series. On Cinco de Mayo, join a meet and greet with the creators of Ocean Organic Vodka, to learn more about their fresh, local ingredients and distillery on Maui.

This month, guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails featuring the crisp, natural and clean Ocean Organic Vodka distilled on the island of Maui, using deep ocean mineral water and organic cane sugar. This unique three-course pre-fixe menu will comprise of three hand-crafted cocktails paired with creative, off-the menu dishes from Japengo Chef de Cuisine, Gevin Utrillo, and Sushi Chef, Jin Hosono. Following is this month’s $75 prix fixe menu:

  • Ocean Vodka Marinated Tuna Carpaccio with shio leaf, ogo, rice crackers, yuzu pepper, mango pearls, paired with Halona Kai Sunset
  • Vodka Braised Veal Osso Buco with hamakua mushroom risotto, tatsoi, pancetta and shiso gremolata, paired with Ali’i Kula Lavender Cocktail
  • Chocolate Decadence Tart with vodka sabayon, vodka macerated strawberries, paired with Raspberry Vanilla Wai’ona
