Enjoy a casual outdoor dining experience at Relish Oceanside restaurant bar this Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Located beachfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, the Aloha Friday Beach BBQ will be the first of a series of outdoor dining experiences that embraces the warm Aloha of our Hawaiian islands.

Restaurant chef Jennifer Evetushick has planned a delightful feast that includes entrées such as Kihei Kölsch Grilled Tako with Avocado-Cilantro Pesto and Lomi Lomi Tomato; Togarashi Ahi Steaks with Pickled Maui Onion and Wasabi Soy Nage; All Natural Ribeye Steak with Oceanside Salt Rub and Ginger Scallion Pesto; and Polynesian Style Jerk Chicken with Maui Gold Pineapple Chutney.

Partnering Maui Brewing Company for this first barbeque evening, Chef Jen has also incorporated the robust beer flavors in preparation of side dishes that include Bikini Blonde Charred Corn On The Cobb; Fire Roasted Molokai Sweet Potato with Coconut-Porter Jus; Anuhea Asparagus with Pressed Lemon Oil and Black Lava Salt; House Crafted Kimchee Cabbage Slaw; and Charred Upcountry Tomato and Surfing Goat Dairy Chevre Macaroni and Cheese.

According to Chef Jen, the laid back barbeque evening is yet another opportunity to bring a local dining experience into the resort, weaving island harvested touches in her menu and pairing with local brews. “It ignites the curiosity of our visitors and our kama’aina as we play with different flavors and create an unusual take on traditional barbeque favorites,” said Chef Jen. “It is the perfect recipe for fun and feasting local style as everyone comes together, sit back, relax and talk story amidst a spectacular Maui sunset,” she added.
